Diving and salvage company W. SMIT B.V. has been part of the Rotterdam landscape for the past 55 years. This port, one of the world's largest, therefore has no secrets for W. SMIT B.V. W. SMIT B.V.’s working area does however reach far beyond greater Rotterdam alone. Due to the steady growth of the company we have spread our wings internationally as well. Foreign shipping companies are increasingly turning to our expertise when their ships dock in the Netherlands.

But we do more. Renovation, maintenance and new construction of pile walls, slipways, cleaning and maintenance of cooling water installations, inspection and repair of locks and lock gates are just a few random examples of our services. We work for both public and private companies.

Maintenance is more than repair alone: it also includes timely inspection and the pinpointing of damage. We use high-tech digital equipment to this end. The result is that you can immediately see how the inspection work is going. Moreover, all images are stored and can be quickly sent around the world.
